I have always enjoyed fiber arts and studied them in-depth while attending college. I loved hooked rugs and knew I wanted to fill my home with them. So in 1998 I decided to try my hand at hooking. What started as a desire to compliment my antique furnishings has now turned into a small business.
I use primitive linen for my pattern foundation so my rugs (and yours) will stand the test of time. I hook with 100% wool in hand-dyed colors that are reminiscent of the colors found in early textiles. My designs are drawn to be hooked in a more primitive style using wider cuts and simpler patterns.
In 2005 I was honored to be chosen by "Early American Life" magazine to be in their Directory of Traditional American Crafts. I have read, loved, and treasured this magazine for many, many years and was thrilled to be included in this issue.
